Back to school

I consider the first week back to school the week of madness! Getting the kids back in to a proper routine, early wake up calls and helping them have a smooth transition back into school is so overwhelming.  How did you and your kids handle it ?

Of course part of our yearly tradition is taking a first day photos. This year instagram was over populated with proud mommies and daddies showing off their little ones going to school. I decided to do something different and I asked my kids what they wanted to be when they grow up ? I wrote them down on a piece of paper and had them take a picture with it. I think I’m going to keep doing this every year.

Tidbits from our Eid holiday

We decided not to travel this Eid and head to Wafra instead. It was a great week filled with some old fashioned fun, yummylicious food and great weather. It got really cold at night but starting a fire always does the trick in keeping everyone warm and cozy. The kids had a fabulous time, running outside from sunrise to sunset and never getting tired of it. Bikes, scooters, hide and seek, bouncy castles, arts & crafts, you name it, they played it

McFizzle goes shopping

I have been putting off going to the super market for the last three days due to the fact that during Ramadan the super markets are considered a war zone! Today, I had a few free hours in the morning so I decided to take Fizzle and get it over and done with. I grabbed my shopping cart cover and off we went.

*The thought of how many people touched the carts just in Ramadan gives me the shivers! LOL

A hiking we will go

Today we went on a little hiking trip as part of outdoor summer holiday. McFizzle had the best seat. Snuggled up in his carrier with a great view of everything.

It was a fabulous day for a hike. The weather was perfect, a little bit hot at some point but then a cool breeze would pass and make it all better. I actually got a nice tan from it as well.

The training wheels are coming off!

Nodi decided today that it is time for him to start riding a 2 wheeler bike. Nodi and his dad headed to the garage took off the training wheels and got straight to work. It’s not as easy as it looks!

Me & my sleepy wrap

The one thing I miss most about Nodi & McFizzle being babies is being able to carry them in the sleepy wrap. The closeness and warmth you feel walking around with them is unexplainable. I loved it!

It’s funny how 2 brothers are totally different. Nodi was never like this. He was calm, and very mature for his age.

McFizzle on the other hand is a  different story!
