Birthday Q & A album

I have been thinking about creating a memory book for my kids for some time now, and I have finally found one that I definitely can do. It is called a Birthday Q & A album. How it works ? Starting from the age 3,  You ask your child  20 questions every year around their birthday. You then collect them in an album with a picture of them on their birthday with their age and maybe using their favorite color that year as the background. You can be as creative as you want.

Here are the 20 questions. You can always remove or change the questions.

1. What is your favorite color?
2. What is your favorite toy?
3. What is your favorite fruit?
4. What is your favorite tv show?
5. What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch?
6. What is your favorite outfit?
7. What is your favorite game?
8. What is your favorite snack?
9. What is your favorite animal?
10. What is your favorite song?
11. What is your favorite book?
12. Who is your best friend?
13. What is your favorite cereal?
14. What is your favorite thing to do outside?
15. What is your favorite drink?
16. What is your favorite holiday?
17. What do you like to take to bed with you at night?
18. What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
19. What do you want for dinner on your birthday?
20. What do you want to be when you grow up?

Did you find out if you were having a boy or a girl ?

When I first found out we were expecting our baby, I couldn’t wait to find out what we were having. I kept asking the doctor at every visit if it was a boy or a girl. When we eventually found out we were having a boy, we didn’t tell anyone except our parents. Mean I know lol

I came across this video on A Cup Of Jo . The couple in the video asked their doctor to write down on a piece of paper if they were having a boy or girl without them looking. The couple then gave the paper to a friend who ended up baking a cake with the color of the baby’s gender ( blue for boy, or pink for girl )covered with white icing.

That night, the couple invited their family and friends over to reveal the color of the cake. So cute!

Happy Birthday Nodi!

I can’t believe you are four already! You are growing up into this wonderful little person, independent with a lot of character. You make us laugh with your cute remarks, angry with your stubborn attitude and thankful for every day we have with you. As you blow out your candles I can’t help but make a wish for you. My Nodi may you always know how loved and special you are. May you grow to be a man who gives freely and thinks kindly. May you remember how lucky you are and support those less fortunate. May you become a thirsty learner, a leader and a man of your word. May you always love with innocence. May you see in yourself what I already see in you.

If I could climb every mountain for you and steer you always into the right direction, I would. Your life is still unwritten and there is beauty in that, you determine who you are and we can only guide you on your journey. I can’t promise you perfection, I can’t promise you much of anything, except that I know that we were blessed with the greatest gift twice in our lives, with you and your brother, and that I will love you always and forever.

Happy Birthday my darling, with many great years to come.

الله اىخلىك و يحفظك لنا ىارب :*

When I was very small

My son’s birthday is coming up and I can’t believe he is turning 4 already!! Years are going by so fast! I can still remember the day I went into labor as if it was yesterday. It’s so important to cherish these years with keepsakes, pictures and videos because they grow up so fast.

He came home last week from school with a little gift for me. It was just perfect!! I can’t wait to hang it up in our home.

Just in case it is not clear from the picture, this is what it says:

When I was very small

Sometimes I might upset you

Because I am so small

And always leave my fingerprints

On furniture and walls.

But everyday I grow a bit

And soon I’ll be so tall

That all those little fingerprints

Will be so hard to recall.

So here’s a special handprint

Just so you can say,

This is how my fingers looked

When I placed them here today.

I’m getting all teary eyed just from reading it! :”(
