Madrasati, which means ‘my school’ in Arabic, is the first of its kind in Jordan and to some extent in the region. Led by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, Madrasati aims to improve the overall learning environment of 500 public schools in dire need of assistance across the Nation. This is achieved through first upgrading the physical infrastructure and second implementing needs-driven comprehensive educational programs within the schools. The programs vary in content, but are tailor-made to provide students in underprivileged areas with knowledge, skills and tools that help shape their characters, minds and attitudes. Madrasati started out in Jordan and has and expanded to included school in Palestine as well.
