Have you ever had a bunch of helium balloons in your hands and wished you could take off and fly? Well Adventurer Jonathan Trappe is testament to the fact that everything is possible and dreams do come true. On May 28th Mr. Trappe became the first person to cross the English channel held in the air by helium balloons – 54 to be exact. It took him more than four hours to complete the 22-mile journey, floating from Ashford in Kent and landing near Dunkirk in northern France traveling at an average speed of about 25 miles per hour. His trip didn’t go as planned as he was forced to crash land in a cabbage patch after the wind blew him off course.
