Hi all,

In celebration of Autism Awareness month, and to give parents and child care professionals, including the teaching community, some functional skills to help deal with the daily challenges they face, we at ABC of Kuwait will be hosting 2 separate events. The first will be aimed at parents and care givers, taking place on the 23rd floor of Burj Jasim, Soor St., this coming Sunday at 18.30, and is titled “Teaching Functional Communication Skills”, while the second is aimed at professionals, taking place Monday the 9th at 18.30 and is titled “Classroom Management – The use of Reinforcement and Preference Assessment”.

Both of these seminars will be presented by Ms Amy Atwell of the New England Center for Children, and Ms Maleshwane Mauco of ABC of Kuwait. Both seminars will be based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, the most effective and research based therapy for treating children with Autism, and will be presented in English. I have flyers for each event if you would like me to forward them to you detailing the topics that will be discussed. Entry is KWD10 per person, and reservations need to be made to the following number – 2296-0991, or email info@abckuwait.com.
